This is just the capsule, but what a capsule it is! Combine this capsule with any preamplifier in the DPA Reference Standard series to make yourself a microphone. MMC4006 is the heart and soul of the 4006A omnidirectional condenser mic, used on countless recordings. Especially good at capturing the wide frequency and dynamic range of an orchestra in full flight - as part of an AB stereo pair, or used as a spot microphone. The ruler flat response and 'timeless transparency' of this capsule have seen it become one of the most sought after elements of the true recording aficionado. This updated (detachable component) version of the classic DPA and formerly B&K 4006 is sure to find a new following of faithful.

Use with: MMP-A state-of-the-art preamplifier, to make a 4006A, or the new MMP-C compact preamplifier to create a 4006C. Can also be used with MMP-B, preamplifier with filters that is most often used as part of a 4017B shotgun combination.

Other capsules available in the DPA Reference Series range include: MMC4011 cardioid, MMC4015 wide cardioid, and MMC4017 shotgun. Also available is the new twin diaphragm 2000 series, at a lower cost, including MMC2006 omni and MMC2011 cardioid capsules.
