RF SPACE is the largest addition to the classic Reflexion Filter® lineup by SE Electronics.

RF SPACE (Specialized Portable Acoustic Control Environment) has a larger surface area than the original Reflexion Filter PRO, along with multi-layer technology, deeper air gaps, and more efficient materials.

RF SPACE offers great full-bandwidth absorption, isolation, and diffusion to help you gain control over your acoustic environment.

It even comes with a couple of empty sandbags (you’ll need to provide the sand), to ensure your microphone stand says in position.

Full, and even frequency absorption is achieve by the careful layering of different materials:

1. Seven Vertical Bass Trap Pillars
2. Punched Aluminium Diffuser
3. Acoustic-Grade Wool Absorber
4. Tensioned Aluminium Foil Membrane Diffuser
5. Isolating Air Gap
6. Tensioned Aluminium Foil Membrane Diffuser
7. Acoustic Grade Wool Absorber
8. Polycarbonate Diffuser
9. Asymmetric Isolating Air Gaps
10. Patented Polyester Acoustic Fibreboard

How do sE Electronics Reflexion Filters work?

When you put a microphone in front of you, it doesn't just hear you - it hears the room around you.

Even if it's a cardioid mic and is listening mostly to just you, it's still picking up reflections from your voice or instrument that are bouncing off the walls and coming back to the mic. The goal of acoustic treatment is to minimise the pickup of such reflections so your primary sound source comes through as pure as possible.

So why not just put some cardboard or foam behind the mic?

Some materials are good at absorbing or reflecting particular frequencies - for example, foam absorbs highs really well, but does nothing for lows.

sE's patented multi-layer technologies absorb frequencies evenly across the whole frequency spectrum.

This is what makes the Reflexion Filter™ unique, and makes it the choice of the biggest recording artists in the world - whether they're working in untreated rooms, or working in a professionally-designed studio and just need a little more isolation.
