Microphone and Line Splitters

A microphone splitter can be used for many reasons, but the most common is for making a live recording - one 'send' goes to the venue PA system, while the other one gets send to the recording rig. Some digital mixing systems have this feature conveniently built in already. A press split will take a single microphone, and split into many (8, 12 or sometimes 24) outputs, making them ideal for a press conference. Noise is kept low by either electronically balanced outputs, or sometimes with a transformer isolated split - which increases the cost of your splitter. Brands include Klark Teknik, Drawmer, ART Pro Audio and more.
