Cordial Cables:
Ready-made goodness

Since 1995, the German-born Cordial has been making robust cables for all kinds of interconnect purposes.

AV cables you can trust

It took us a little while to cotton on to just how good the range of pre-made Cordial cables actually are, but since 2014, we’ve been big fans.

Cordial’s range of 3.5mm stereo mini-jack cables became the stuff of legend within Factory Sound – and now that’s not all we keep in stock.

For typical AV (audiovisual applications), we’ve also got a range of stereo interconnect cables, including:

  • Dual RCA to Dual RCA – CFU3CC (3m)
  • Dual RCA to Dual 1/4″ Mono Jack – CFU3PC (3m)
  • 3.5mm stereo minijack “AUX” cable – CFS3WW (3m)

There are a bunch of different lengths available. Here’s the filtered link to Cordial AV cables on our website.

What about guitar leads?

If you’re a guitarist.. this is for you.

You’ll already know the running tally on what you’ve spent procuring your guitars, pedals and amp(s). How much is your tone actually worth?

Nothing – if your guitar lead fails.

For a grab-and-go guitar lead, you can feel confident in choosing a Cordial instrument cable.

With genuine Neutrik NP2X (straight) or NP2RX (right-angle) ends – with the best internal cable strain relief, hands down – and Cordial’s own rugged CIK122 instrument cable, you concentrate on what your fingers are doing instead of worrying about your gear.

Yes, they work for bass and keyboard as well.

Something for MIDI

Look… they’re not super long, but they are rock-solid.

Cordial MIDI cables use a REAN 5-pin connector at each end, along with some nice flexible cable to transmit your creative 1’s and 0’s.

MIDI note: Like most MIDI cable, this uses standard 3-pin MIDI assignment (pins 1 & 3 are not connected). If you need a “fully connected” 5-pin DIN controller cable, hit us up for custom options.

D-Sub looms

For an off-the-shelf option, Cordial D-Sub looms are an excellent choice.

Sitting nicely in between the plastic, moulded variety of D-Sub cable, and our own hand-manufactured bespoke D-Sub looms, this Cordial offering is long-lasting and ready for either studio or live sound use.

In keeping with most analogue breakout (or break-in) looms, all Cordial D-Sub looms are wired to the Tascam standard pin-out.

Multicore with Stagebox

While the proliferation of digital mixing systems and their connecting remote I/O boxes has dramatically lightened the load for gigs, there is most definitely still a place for a dependable multicore / stagebox solution.

Whether it’s for a dropbox to station next to a performer on stage, or a larger solution to suit studios and performing arts centres, the one thing you don’t need is a multicore with dead channels and a buzz somewhere.

Cordial CYB series multicores with stagebox are an excellent, ready-made option.

Each of the tails is grouped and colour-coded into ‘4’ for easy identification and a reduced set up time.

There are many options in stock, including large formats with returns to use for headphone mix in the studio, or monitors and front of house speakers in the live setting.

Whatever the product, Cordial cables are built for the long haul.

Sennheiser e906: way more than a guitar cab mic

Plenty of us play with microphones when we’re not ‘on the clock’ at Factory Sound. On a recent drum recording session, we tried out Sennheiser e906 on a tom tom (rack 1), right next to the old faithful MD421-II on rack tom 2. The results were quite eye opening, and ear pleasing! MD421-II is well […]
