Creating systems that integrate seamlessly into the working environment takes skill and experience. Factory Sound’s industry professionals have been providing advice to clients for over 17 years. During this time Factory Sound has established itself as a leader in its field, providing solutions to clients nationwide.

Be it an audiovisual system, acoustic design, advanced lighting design or high quality theatre and auditorium sound reinforcement, we have the means to turn the project into something that both customer and provider can proudly hang our hat on. See here for more thorough list of installation services.

Factory Sound boasts a client list that stands as testament to its reputation for supplying Australia with cutting edge audiovisual solutions. It is with pride that we observe our clients’ continued success with audiovisual systems specified by Factory Sound.

Factory Sound headquarters in Melbourne is home base to our fully integrated audiovisual installation team. We pride ourselves on being on time and on budget. Project managers track all installations as they pass through the stages that lead to final on site installation. Excellent management allows us to track project progress and clearly answer questions at any time during the installation process.

From the time a project is committed to the final commissioning, our installation team takes responsibility for all aspects of the process. Progress reports keep clients aware and confident throughout the project. By drawing upon these skills we can create an appropriate team to suit your project from its conception to on-site commissioning. Following commissioning we provide maintenance, support and technology updates which ensure reliability and provide long-term value.

We start with concept and design analysis during the consultation phase of your project. This can be as simple as asking how you envisage a boardroom microphone system being positioned, to a sophisticated 3D modelling and acoustic analysis of an auditorium using the latest software to ensure adequate coverage at all important parts of the room.

Keeping abreast of latest and emerging technologies allows us to specify solutions that are not only ‘future proof’ but also allow for easy use by all level of operators. We do the hard work ‘inside the box’ to ensure that the user experience can be as simple as using a touchpad where appropriate.

Advanced certification and training in many areas allows the FS installation team to design a solution to exceed your expectations. We are a major provider of the world’s best audio and control solution QSYS, along with all major “hi-tech” AV players such as Biamp, BSS Soundweb, KramerAV and AV networking solutions. Our techs are all field experienced and constantly evolving their skills to keep pace with what is a very rapid changing landscape in the world of Professional AV. We pride ourselves on designing solutions which simply work, and are entirely ‘on point’ with our clients’ needs.

This combination of real-world experience coupled with ongoing certified training allows Factory Sound to design systems that simply work.

Once the consultation is complete and design phase underway, we can commence a variety of drawings specific to your needs. These include block diagrams, schematics along with pictorial 2D and 3D drawings.

This stage helps all project participants to thoroughly understand the nature of design, and contributes to a ensuring our solution provided exactly matches the scope.

Rigging details, patching diagrams and cable schedules enable accurate system delivery, while 3D room drawings allow for an a true representation of how the finished solution will appear. This 3D approach is particularly important as an aid for committees making an informed decision on our proposed outcome, and is particularly important in the case of a heritage listed building. With the help of zoom-able 3D renderings, we can also ensure that sight lines are not compromised in a theatre setting.

The supply stage of our service is as sophisticated as it is simple. Although product procurement is by no means a ‘paint-by-numbers’ affair, the vast resources at our fingertips and within arm’s length make the process both swift and accurate.

Our vast inventory range and stock holding, coupled with second-to-none warehouse and logistics staff means that no job is ever at the bottom of the pile when it comes to attention and allocation. In fact, because our supply chain is such a well-oiled machine, many other commercial installers use Factory Sound for the bulk of their product procurement.

Because the consultation and design phase of a project requires transparent communication, deadlines and updates for special-order items required for any given project are both requested and discussed whenever necessary.

So whether it’s ensuring we’ve got enough cable to start the ‘rough-in’ before the plasterers and painters arrive, determining the type and length of hearing loop induction tape required before the carpet layers begin, or making sure that the correct coloured speakers will arrive into Australia before the due-date of a project passes, you can be sure Factory Sound has got your back the whole way.

Once the hard work of consultation, design, drawings and supply has been taken care of, Factory Sound’s hard-working installation team gets to roll their sleeves up and deliver the reality of your project.

Because we’ve already taken care of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and prepated Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) as part of our planning process, you can be assured thing will go smoothly and to plan.

With an exemplary OHS Performance record and strict adherence to our policies for OHS, Quality Assurance and Environmental Best Practice, the work carried out on your premises will be safe not only for all workers involved, but also for our planet.

Once all parts of the system have been deployed to the satisfaction of our installation team, system commissioning and handover takes place. Again, the process is smooth and simple. Just as it should be.
