Like their bigger brother (KH120), these Neumann KH80 DSP 4″ powered studio monitors provide a clear and detailed image, making them ideal to use for mixing in the studio.

They’re compact, and seemingly simple, with an XLR/6.3mm (1/4”) Jack Combi connector as the sole input source.

The 100mm woofer and 25mm tweeter are bi-amped from the inside of this little cabinet, give you up to 120w to the woofer and 70w to the tweeter. Anyway, they’re not for BIG room monitoring with your clients on the couch, so you won’t drive them quite that hard. KH80 DSP are designed as a nearfield, desktop monitor, and they are plenty powerful enough for any mixing situation you’re likely to encounter.

When we say compact – it’s going to absolutely shine as monitoring for a little workstation, whether it is in a broadcast van, project studio or in a video edit suite. A pair of these will go nicely for either dialogue mixing, or full music creation.

On the rear of KH80 DSP, the controls are perfect for your ‘little’ environment, with a 4-way switch to control the low-mid EQ to suit your situation (Free Standing, Small Desk, Medium Desk, Large Desk). There’s also an input control knob (from -15 – 0 dB) and an output level switch.

KH80 DSP is ready for use with Neumann.Control software (now available) , which allows you to control and optimise the system via a computer or mobile device. Then, you can precisely adjust or manually optimise the monitors with just a click or a fingertip. Connect via the onboard RJ45 connector, and flick your ‘setting’ switch on the monitor from ‘local control’ to ‘network control’
