Wide cardioid, perfect when you're not trying to zero in on a specific part of an instrument - especially grand piano or large ensemble ambient miking applications. This ultra-compact design features the same MMC4015 capsule as found on the full length 4015A microphone, coupled with the short profile MMP-C compact preamplifier.
Like any member of the Reference Standard series by DPA, this little mic features not only a full frequency response, but also a huge SPL handling (152dB Max).
Supreme results for orchestra, choir, studio and other spot miking applications. The 4015C excels where a super-low profile must be maintained - especially important for video broadcast, where shadows via theatrical lighting and large mics may detract from the visual aesthetic.
