If you're in the business of cable manufacture, or you'd simply like to upgrade your work tools, check out the magnificent LOWE 1.104 anvil pruner.
Yes, it's been designed for viticulture, fruit growing and horticulture, but don't let that fool you. The 1.104 has been one of our favourite cable workshop tools for many years.
Made in Germany, 1.104 uses the anvil principle - a drawing cut against a fixed base plate. This translates to reduced cutting impact (helping your hands and joints during repetitive duties), and enables better force transmission.
Length: 21 cm
Max cable OD: 25 mm
Weight: 290 g
Some history... LOWE unveiled their ANVIL style cutters a long time ago. The principle developed by Walther Schröder in 1923 and since proven millions of times over, results in a very easy cut, making it a favourite among professional users.
1104 Anvil features:
- Better transmission of force
- Ideally suited to robust use on varying cables
- No cutting impact and less force exercised during cutting (Protection of the hand and joints)
- Low-cost maintenance
