When you just need to get on with the job of amplification: minimum fuss, maximum reliability, without the big spend, and lightweight - impossible? We thought so, until QSC released their GX series.
At just 7.5 kg, the GX7 is light enough to cart around - but we're seeing most of these get picked up once, plonked into a fixed installation and left to do their thing. They're loaded up with all the usual protection features you'd expect thesedays from an amplifier: Short circuit, open circuit, thermal, RF protection, and load protected against DC faults. Plenty of connectivity with inputs via 2 x XLR, balanced 1/4" and also RCA.
GX7 Output Specs:
2 x 725w @ 8Ω
2 x 1000w @ 4Ω
Height: 89 mm (2RU)
Width: 19" (483 mm)
Depth: 257 mm
GuardRail protection delivers full peak power while preventing detrimental overloads. During excessive clipping, or extreme overheating, GuardRail reduces gain just enough to preserve the integrity of the music, protect the speakers and keep the audience excited, without unprofessional distortion levels or shutdowns.
