Bringing the class of six Radial JDI passive DI boxes and housing them all in a single 19″ rack unit, JD6 is all about high performance.
Each JD6 channel is equipped with a rear-mounted ¼” instrument input and thru-put for the artist’s amp plus a lo-Z balanced XLR output to feed the mixing desk.
Of course, being Radial, there’s a couple more string to the bow than ‘just’ six JDI slapped together, with some rack ears attached.
The front panel offers the ‘extra push over the cliff’ with an array of switches and connectors including ground lift, 180º polarity reverse, stereo-to-mono merge plus a low-pass filter to reduce unwanted high frequency noise that is common with older vintage keyboards. Channels 1 and 2 are supplemented with front panel ‘priority’ connectors that switch the input as soon as a cable is inserted for improved efficiency in the studio. Six completely independent transformer isolated channels for minimal cross-talk and maximum protection against noise, 60 cycle hum, and buzz or hum caused by ground loops.
