Neumann KK204 BK is a cardioid condenser microphone capsule for use with compatible handheld transmitters, including Sennheiser EW-D Series.
Yes, Neumann sound – on stage, with the freedom of Sennheiser wireless.
The KK 204 capsule head is based on Neumann’s wonderful KMS104 wired stage microphone. While many stage vocal mics dynamic capsules, KK204 is equipped with a true condenser capsule offering the superior clarity that made Neumann studio microphones famous all over the world – while still possessing the durability needed for the stage.
KK 204 can stand enormous sound pressure levels (up to 150 dB) without clipping, and its tight, frequency-independent cardioid pattern ensures high gain before feedback. It has a smooth frequency response and an airy top-end. Compared to dynamic microphones, the Neumann KK 204 has a vastly superior transient response resulting in a more immediate, more emotional vocal sound. In practical terms: effortless intelligibility, without the usual EQ boosts – which further improves feedback resistance.
