Cardioid condenser stage vocal mic with extended bass response.
We’ve known and loved the KMS105 supercardioid stage mic for a very long time. Have you checked out the KMS104 cardioid variants though?
Like the KMS105, this KMS104 PLUS has a 4 stage mesh pop filter – the difference being a nice, tight cardioid pickup pattern.
A full frequency response from the brilliant and clear highs right down through the full mids and fat bottoms.
Designed and optimised for close miking, a fixed low cut filter compensates for the proximity effect and ensures clear bass. Compared to the KMS104 this KMS104 PLUS gives added emphasis to the lower register (100-150 Hz) , thus lending more “weight” and “warmth” to voices which might sound too “light” with the standard KMS104. This PLUS version is particularly popular with female singers.
The dynamic range of KMS microphones is 132 dB, and the maximum sound pressure level is 150 dB.
