Kali LP-6 powered nearfield studio monitor has a 6.5” woofer, 1” soft dome tweeter and 40w + 40w bi-amped power.
This Lone Pine series from Kali Audio has been designed to help you hear your mix clearly, without breaking the bank. It starts with an exceptionally accurate frequency response. Whatever is present in your mix is what you'll hear in these monitors. Nothing is boosted or suppressed to cover flaws or try to sound more pleasing.
A quick look at the front:
The 1” soft dome tweeter (powered via 40w) is recessed in carefully designed waveguide, while the 6.5” woofer (also powered via 40w) has a large voice coil, low distortion and high dynamic range. Kali Audio is most proud of their port tube, designed to ensure that all of the air leaves the port tube at the same velocity. This helps add to the low-end response of the speaker, while keeping the bass clean, tight, and devoid of extra noise - like the turbulence that can be heard as “chuffing,” - an audible air sound coming from the monitor.
Back Section, stand up and take a bow!
Inputs via XLR and ¼” balanced TRS. The RCA connector is for an unbalanced signal, although Kali realises most of us won’t use it, and so you’ll need to activate the RCA via dip-switch 8, if you really need. Talking of dip-switches… the first three switches (1-3) allow you to ‘control your space’, with settings for stand, desk, console bridge and wall mount, with distances ‘free, close to wall, and against a wall’. There are also switches for LF and HF trim, offering +/- 2dB, for even greater adjustment than what is offered already in the boundary compensation EQ settings.
