This dynamic omnidirectional microphone has been designed for live reporting and broadcast applications. MD42 has been designed to minimise wind and handling noise problems, while maximising speech intelligibility. Sennheiser describe it as ‘good natured’ which is just as well, if it’s going to help you conduct interviews.
Omni directional, to allow maximum pickup with minimal movement of the microphone. It does, however, pick up a degree of surrounding sounds. If you required more direct sound from the interview mic, try MD46.
