Pearl MS 8CL stereo condenser microphone is a high-end, lightweight solution for recording M-S stereo on location.
The low weight (135g) makes MS 8CL easy to use on a boompole or mounted directly on the camera.
MS 8CL has separate (ie; non-matrixed) Mid and Side channels, giving the engineer total control over the sound and the possibility to decide the width of the stereo image in post-production. This also means that MS 8CL can be used as a regular mono cardioid microphone.
The included Pearl 1930 shockmount can be mounted directly on-camera with a hot shoe adapter (optional).
Note – MS8CL requires a Pearl 533 cable (not included) for operation. This takes the 5-pin XLR output, and provides the mid-and-side channels with 3-pin XLR.This will also allow MS8CL to be connected with +48 V phantom power on both channels.
