Perfect for clear ambient audio recording aboard your DSLR Camera, or any other style of video camera with a spare shoe mount.
With a pair of high sensitivity 1/2" cardioid condenser capsules in XY pattern (this description is sounding a little like our old favourite NT4), Stereo VideoMic Pro provides a wide stereo image with natural depth.
Power it via internal 9V battery. The output lead is 3.5mm stereo mini jack, it weighs in at just 115g, and there are a couple of nice and easily accessible switches on the back of the mic: 75 Hz High Pass Filter (on-off), and level control (-10dB, 0, +20dB).
Should directional mono be more your thing, check VideoMicPro-R.
Like the VideoMic Pro, the Stereo VideoMic Pro features a +20dB level boost specifically designed to provide a higher quality signal with DSLR cameras. When activated, the typically low quality camera preamp level can be reduced, resulting in a lower noise floor and much clearer recording.
