RODE DCS1 brings the team together

Rode are frequently dipping their long arm into the well of creativity and coming up with a big handful of happiness.

Today’s announcement of FOUR new accessories has provided an easy way to raise your sound standards, without the need for too much extra space.

First, let’s check the 38 sec video:

DCS-1 dual cold shoe mount, compact & elegant

Weighing in at just 42.7g, the super-simple DCS-1 dual cold shoe mount is perfect for a huge range of shoe-mountable accessories.

In the early days of Factory Sound (back in the early 1990′s), we’d get visited by a variety of working sound recordists looking for extra gear for their trolley.
This was when there was budget for a dedicated sound gathering team for all kinds of productions – whether it was news, documentary, feature film, etc.

As the early 2000′s came along, there was less big production work and often the sound gathering was left up to a single operator.

Fast forward to ‘now’, and with DIY productions improving out of sight as technology gets more affordable, it almost feels as though the worm has turned (again).
Vision is looking better than ever – so now it’s time to once more improve the audio.

Check out this Documentary Pack:

Our WIGO + VIDEOMIC NTG Doco Pack includes 1x Wireless Go, 1x VideoMic NTG + 1x DCS-1 and SC11.

We’ve included the super-compact and lightweight Wireless Go, as the method of getting sound wirelessly from your talking head or interviewee to the camera. There is also the well- featured VideoMic NTG, which can be used to capture the ‘vibe’ of the space – or can be used as a ‘safety’.

Mount the VideoMic NTG and Wireless Go receiver on the DCS-1 (dual cold shoe mount), and connect them to your camera with the very handy SC11 splitter cable, which will put the presenter on the left channel, the VideoMic NTG on the right side (or vice versa).

When it’s time for a tidy up in post, you can make the magic happen. Compact, convenient and great value.

Wireless Go Dual Interview Pack:

Like the pack above, this ‘interview’ pack is a great way of getting discrete sound from your two presenters (or host with interviewee), while keeping everything compact and manageable.

The WIRELESS GO DUAL interview pack contains 2x Wireless Go + 1x DCS-1 and SC11

If you’re conducting an interview without wanting to hold a microphone – perhaps it’s a ‘sit down’ discussion – you can take full control of both heads with this simple system.

We’ve included two of the super-compact and lightweight Wireless Go, as the method of getting sound wirelessly from your two talkers to the camera.

What about the SC10 and SC16?

That’s right.. we did mention 4 new accessories.

DCS-1 = Dual Cold Shoe Mount
SC10 = 3.5mm TRRS to TRRS patch cable, with flex-memory
SC11 = 3.5mm TRS splitter cable (275mm length)
SC16 = USB-C to USB-C flat cable (300mm)

All four new accessories are currently in stock and ready to go.

Get in touch with Factory Sound if you have any questions!
