Hooking directly in to Allen & Heath GLD80 or GLD112 consoles or via the remote AR2412 or AR0804 audio racks, ME-1 personal monitor mixer/controller is a powerful device to give performers full control over their wedge or in-ear mix.
\nBased on the dSnake protocol, ME-1 also talks happily with all Qu-Series consoles (Qu16, Qu24 or Qu32). Each ME-1 unit in the simple daisy chain will receive up to 40 channels from the console (or snake), and it’s up to each performer to make their own mix. Group instruments together, or keep them totally separated – whatever works best!
\nAn onboard ambient mic allows performers wearing in-ear monitors to hear the audience and communicate with each other without the need to pull out their ear pieces. The local mic level is independent of the master level control.
\nA single rotary control beneath the display is used to access and navigate the most connonly used functions and menus, including: Input control of level & pan; Group control of master level; Level/pan for each member of the group; Control of master EQ and limiter; Global Trim (simultaneously adjusts all channel levels to prevent running the mix too hot).
\nIt's easy to mount ME-1 on top of a microphone stand, or clip it to the straight section of a stand, with all mounting hardware included in the box. There's even a handy headphone hanger, for in between sets / takes.
