Overview

Factory Sound ships exclusively within Australia. We do not accept or process international orders, and we are not responsible for any costs or liabilities arising from any attempt to place an order for overseas delivery.

All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in South Melbourne, Victoria.


Order Processing

Orders are processed on business days (Monday–Friday, excluding Victorian public holidays). Once your order is placed and payment is confirmed, we will begin preparing your shipment.

  • Orders placed before 2:00pm AEST on a business day are typically processed the same day
  • Orders placed after 2:00pm or on weekends and public holidays will be processed the following business day
  • A minimum order value of $10.00 AUD applies to all online orders

You will receive an order confirmation email at the time of purchase. A separate shipping confirmation with tracking details will be sent once your order has been dispatched.


Delivery Timeframes

All delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not a contractual commitment. Factory Sound will use reasonable endeavours to meet estimated delivery windows, but is not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather, demand surges, or other circumstances outside our control.

These timeframes apply from the date of dispatch, not from the date of order.

Delays may occur during peak periods (e.g. Christmas, EOFY), extreme weather events, or as a result of carrier capacity constraints. If your order is significantly delayed, please contact us and we will investigate with the carrier on your behalf.


Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order.

  • Free shipping is available on qualifying orders — the current threshold will be displayed at checkout
  • Bulky or heavy items (such as speakers, racks, and large consoles) may attract additional freight charges due to their size and the handling requirements involved
  • Where expedited or express delivery options are available, these will be presented at checkout at an additional cost

All shipping charges are exclusive of GST, which will be added at checkout.


Delivery Requirements

To ensure safe and timely delivery, please note the following:

Delivery address accuracy It is your responsibility to provide a complete and correct delivery address at the time of order. Factory Sound is not responsible for orders delayed or undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address. If goods are returned to us as undeliverable, re-delivery charges will apply.

Authority to leave By providing a delivery address, you authorise Factory Sound and its nominated carriers to deliver goods to that address and to leave them at a safe location if no one is present. Once goods have been delivered to the nominated address, risk of loss, theft, or damage passes to you.

Ground floor delivery Our carriers deliver to ground floor locations only, at a point safely accessible from where the delivery vehicle can park. The delivery location must be on smooth, stable ground with an unobstructed approach suitable for a hand trolley. If a suitable ground floor delivery location is not accessible:

  • Delivery may be rescheduled
  • Goods may be returned to our warehouse at your cost
  • Additional delivery charges may apply

If you require delivery above ground floor or have specific access requirements (e.g. a loading dock, stairway, or lift), please contact us before placing your order so we can arrange a suitable freight solution.

Unable to accept delivery If you are unable to accept a scheduled delivery and the goods are returned to us, you will be liable for any storage, re-delivery, or double cartage costs incurred. If we are unable to obtain delivery instructions from you within 14 days, a reasonable storage fee will apply.


Large and Bulky Items

Some products — including speakers, subwoofers, mixing consoles, amplifier racks, and road cases — require specialised freight handling. For these items:

  • A freight quote will be provided before or during checkout, or we will contact you after your order is placed
  • Delivery timeframes may be longer than standard
  • Kerbside delivery only is provided unless a tailgate or specialised service is arranged in advance
  • Installation or placement beyond the delivery point is not included

For large orders or venue installations, please contact us directly to discuss freight options.


Split Shipments and Backorders

Where part of your order is immediately available and part is on backorder, we will dispatch available items as soon as possible. You will not incur additional shipping charges for backorder items dispatched separately, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

If any part of your order cannot be fulfilled, we will notify you by email or phone as soon as possible and arrange either:

  • A suitable alternative product, or
  • A refund of the unfulfilled portion of your order

Special Order Items

Items marked as Special Order are sourced specifically for your order and may have extended lead times. These lead times are provided in good faith and are dependent on our suppliers. Factory Sound is not liable for delays caused by supplier or manufacturer availability.

Once a special order has been placed with our supplier, the order cannot be cancelled. Please refer to our Returns & Refund Policy for further details.


Tracking Your Order

A tracking number will be provided in your shipping confirmation email once your order has been dispatched. You can use this number to track your delivery via the carrier's website.

If you have not received a shipping confirmation within 3 business days of placing your order, please contact us at orders@factorysound.com.au or call us during business hours.


Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives visibly damaged, please:

  1. Note the damage with the carrier at the time of delivery if possible
  2. Take photographs of the outer packaging and the damaged item before unpacking further
  3. Contact us within 5 business days of delivery at returns@factorysound.com.au with your order number and photos

We will work with you to arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with our Returns & Refund Policy and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.


Risk and Insurance

Risk in your goods passes to you upon delivery to your nominated address. We strongly recommend that you are present at delivery for high-value items. For additional peace of mind, transit insurance may be available at checkout for eligible orders.
